We will be also looking at how to get your heads in a server without being an admin, and also, if you are an admin, to how to allow players to get them easily within your Minecraft Servers.
What Is A Player Head In Minecraft
The player head in Minecraft is part of the skin of a player. The head of any player depends on what skin that player is equipped with at the time of playing.

How To Get A Player Head
There are multiple ways that can be used to get any player’s head in Minecraft. It depends on what type of mode you are currently playing your Minecraft game in. In the single-player world, it is very easy to get any player’s head, but in a multiplayer world, steps are a little bit different.
How To Get A Player Head In Single Player Minecraft
In Minecraft single player getting head is very easy. There is a different method to get any player’s head in the different versions of Minecraft. For Minecraft version less than 1.13, a player must use the following command:
/give @s minecraft:skull <number of items> 3 {SkullOwner:<player_name>}
- The number of items is the number of heads you want to get.
- And player_name is the name of the player whose head you want.
Eg: I want to get 1 head of Einstine so I will write the following command:
/give @s minecraft:skull 1 3 {SkullOwner:Einstine }
This command will give you 1 Einstine head.
For the versions above 1.13 the same command can’t be used to get the player head. So, the following command can be used:
/give @s minecraft:player_head{SkullOwner:<player_name>} <number of items>
Eg: I want 1 Einstine’s head, so I will use the following command:
/give @s minecraft:player_head(SkullOwner:Einstine} 1
This is the easiest method that can be used to get any player’s head in a single-player world.
How To Get A Player Head In Minecraft Multiplayer
Getting a player head in Minecraft multiplayer is not the same as we do in the single-player world. In Minecraft multiplayer or a server, not all players can access the admin/console commands i.e. /give command.
As in a server, only limited commands are allowed and only admins have the access to higher commands.
So, to get a player head you can ask the Admin of the server and the following command can be used depending on the version of the game
For Minecraft versions less than 1.13 the following command can be used:
/give <player_1> minecraft:skull <number of heads> 3 {SkullOwner:<player_2>}
- Here player_1 is the name of the player who will receive the head.
- The number of heads is the number of heads that player will receive
- And player_2 is the name of the player whose head you want.
Eg: I want to give 1 Einstine head to Sherr so I will use the command.
/give Sherr Minecraft:skull 1 3 {SkullOwner:Einstine}
For the versions higher than 1.13 the following command can be used:
/give player_1 minecraft:player_head{SkullOwner:<player_2>} <number of items>
Eg: I want to give 1 Einstine head to Sherr so I will use the following command.
/give Sherr minecraft:player_head{SkullOwner:Einstine} 1
